Lihua Chen (b. 1977) is an artist with over two decades of experience in artistic creation. She is also a freelance writer who has contributed feature articles, essays, and art critiques for radio programs, magazines, and gallery exhibitions. She currently lives and works between New York and Beijing, engaging in a diverse range of practices including painting, video, and public art.

Chen has held solo and group exhibitions in major cities such as New York, London, Berlin, and Beijing, and has participated in numerous public art projects. In 2015, she curated and hosted the thematic exhibition From Sanwei Study Hall to the Hundred Grasses Garden in Beijing’s 798 Art District. In 2016, she worked across
disciplines to design the overall theme for the runway at Shanghai International Fashion Week, contributing to stage design, electronic background music, and theatrical performance art. That same year, her large-scale installation The Comic Character – Ying was installed at the iconic Agricultural Exhibition Center Plaza on Beijing’s East Third Ring Road. In 2023, she placed her large-scale installation A
Vision of the World in Long Island, New York.

Her artistic practice takes diverse forms. In 2023, she presented the solo sharing exhibition Hi, Strangers at Time Gallery in Manhattan and participated in the Mystery Mart art project at the Brooklyn Museum. In 2024, she held the solo exhibition Calm Before the Storm at 456 Gallery in Manhattan. That same year, with support from the New York State Council on the Arts, she launched a public
Creative Learning Program in Manhattan in 2025, which proved to be a great success.

陈幽隐，⽣于1977年，艺术家，从事艺术创作⼆⼗余年；⾃由撰稿⼈，曾为电台、杂志媒体及画廊展览撰写专题⽂稿、散⽂以及艺术评论。现⼯作⽣活于纽约及北京，创作类型涉及绘画、影像及公共艺术。

曾在纽约、伦敦、柏林、北京等世界多个地区举办个展与联展，并参与多项公共艺术项⽬。于2015年在北京798艺术区策划及主持主题展览《从三味书屋到百草园》；2016年跨界为上海国际时装周秀场设计主题，包含舞台环境、电⼦背景⾳乐、开场戏剧⾏为表演等；同时将⼤型装置作品《⼆次元硬》放置于中国⾸都北京地标东三环农业展览馆⼴场；2023年将⼤型装置《⼤地之眼》放置在纽约长岛。

她的作品创作形式多样，2023年在曼哈顿的 Time Gallery 举办艺术项⽬ “Hi, Strangers” 的分享个展，参与布鲁克林美术馆内的 “Mystery Mart” 艺术项⽬；2024 年在曼哈顿的 456 Gallery 举办个展 “Calm Before the Storm”；2024年获得纽约州艺术基⾦⽀持于2025年在曼哈顿发起艺术创意学习计划。
