“Children Help Children”

Children Help Children: An Invitation to the UN Charity Art Exhibition
Let children’s artwork be seen by the world—and let their compassion reach beyond it.
On December 3, 2026, the Children Help Children Charity Art Exhibition will take place at United Nations Headquarters in New York. The Huaxia International Culture & Arts Center warmly invites students and families to participate, sharing their creativity and supporting children in need around the world.
Presented as a special event of the United Nations Women’s Guild (UNWG) annual Holiday Bazaar, the exhibition will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Visitor’s Lobby of the General Assembly Building. The UNWG President is scheduled to attend and present awards to participating students.
From a Sheet of Paper to a Wider World
Through art, children share their visions of blue skies, oceans, homes, and dreams. This December, their artwork will enter the United Nations, connecting cultures and carrying a message of compassion.
The exhibition will feature 30 artworks by young artists. Students will have an opportunity to showcase their creativity while discovering how art and charitable action can come together—and how their talents can support others.
Participating families may also choose to offer their artwork for sale to support the charitable effort. With family authorization, selected artworks may have the opportunity to become UNWG charitable merchandise, allowing children’s creativity to continue making a difference beyond the exhibition.
Every Child Can Take Part
At the heart of Children Help Children is a simple idea: encourage children to understand the challenges others face and take meaningful action to help.
For some children, a book, a nutritious meal, or the chance to learn in safety remains a precious wish. Taking part in a charitable initiative helps our own children look beyond their familiar surroundings and develop empathy, generosity, and a sense of responsibility.
Students and families without artwork to exhibit are equally welcome to participate through a donation. Children can learn about the cause, share its purpose with others, and work with their families to contribute—becoming part of an effort led by children, for children.
Bringing Art and Compassion into View
Through its charitable sales and other fundraising activities, the United Nations Women’s Guild has long supported children’s projects around the world. Funds raised through this event will be collected, managed, and transferred to UNWG as described in the event information. An income and expense report will be shared with participating families after the event.
For the Huaxia International Culture & Arts Center, this is also an opportunity to bring arts education and community service together. As children exhibit their work and exchange ideas, we hope they will discover that their voices deserve to be heard—and that their kindness can make a difference.
An artwork shares a child’s view of the world. Taking part shares their kindness with it.
We welcome students, parents, and friends to join us and share this invitation with other families.
Registration and payment deadline: November 16, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Artwork applications are subject to review. Please visit the event page and read the invitation for participation options, fees, artwork requirements, and event arrangements.
We look forward to welcoming you to the United Nations on December 3, where children’s creativity and compassion will come together.
